Sewree jetty

Finding our way through the concrete jungle and a streets which reminded me of encounter scenes from movies we drove through a so called road that had more oil than i could never be able to buy and more than sufficient to convert our white car into dalmatian,  we reached a place to see something so beautiful that i would never expect. Though it was not the place where we planned to reach, watching flamingos and their flight refreshed our minds.

KAVADI PAT : A Blessing in Disguise!!!

We have been residing in Pune for more that 6 years now. However, this magical place came to our knowledge recently. Kavadi Pat is a place located on Solapur highway near Hadapsar. The reason it is called blessing in disguise is inspite of not a hyped destination it is rated at par best places for birding in Maharashtra.

We visited this place thrice in months of November, December and January 2014 at different times to see check on different types birds we anticipated. We happened to spot different types of birds at different times. To our surprise, this place was the one where we could see almost all major species of birds that are sighted in Maharashtra.

Unfortunately, there is no awareness of the beauty this place exhibits at the adjacent locality. Because of which the place is not clean and loads garbage can be seen destroying the beauty of birds. People are seen littering and government has taken least cognizance of the same.

It's worth visiting this place again and again because it gives much more than one ever expects to witness!!!
