Nagpur to Pune was planned as a non stop journey to reach the destination in time. First break in the journey was near Malegao when our friend spotted a large bird, could not be identified due to our race with time. But we stopped forgetting our time limitation to spot a pair of woolly storks, cormorants, darter and cattle egrets. Journey continued till we realized than Lonar Crater is just 10 km away and we diverted from our path. Walk from the temple at the top to various old temples at pause points we reached crater. walk down to the crater was pleasing, bright and colorful and chirping sounds of birds. Way back to the top took our breath away as we again realized that we are racing with the time.
